Ash and Oak Tavern Table SOLD

Ash and Oak Tavern Table dating from the late 18th or early 19th century.  The extraordinary X Frame or Wishbone Ash base has probably been shaped with a spoke shave.   It retains its wonderful original surface and finish.  I have owned many Tavern tables over the past 40 years, but never on like this.
 
The twin plank Oak top has had a metal band around the perimeter (a common feature of tavern Tables) in the past, but this has now been removed.  The top has been replaced at some point in the 19th or 20th century.
 
A very rare table and incredible survivor.
